Top 5 Tallest Towers in Africa

1- CARLTON CENTRE (SOUTH AFRICA)

The Carlton Center is the tallest tower in South Africa. Opened in 1973, the 50-storey shopping center has long been ranked as the tallest building on the African continent but could be in second place with the construction of new African towers. The Carlton Center has a height of 223 meters.

2. HASSAN ll MOSQUE (MOROCCO)

With a capacity of 25,000 faithful inside, the Mosque Hassan II of Morocco occupies the second place in the ranking. Construction began in 1986 and ended in 1993. The height of the tower of the religious building in Casablanca is 210 meters.

3. BRITAM TOWER (KENYA)

The Britam Tower Building is a shopping center located in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital. Built on an area of 31,500 square meters, the skyscraper is a true architectural masterpiece. Its height of 200 meters gives it the place of the tallest tower in Kenya and East Africa.

4. CAIRO TOWER (EGYPT)

In addition to being an architectural wonder, the tower of Cairo is the largest skyscraper in the country thanks to its 187 meters. Its height also offers a breathtaking view of several Egyptian wonders.

5. BAHIA CENTER (ALGERIA)

The fifth talles building in this ranking and is located in Algeria that is in the spotlight with its complex Bahia Center which includes four towers each with a height of 175 meters. The construction of the building started in 2008 and ended in 2013, when it opened. The Bahia center located in Oran, however, has only 31 floors.
